Dating back to 1817, The Coach House sits within the grounds of the listed Old Rectory and provides beautifully designed holiday accommodation with a wealth of Georgian charm and many original features including fireplaces, exposed beams and antique furniture. 

A very well established holiday property with many five stars reviews on other booking platforms. It is continually maintained to a high standard and receives consistent positive feedback.

Two well behaved dogs are very welcome.

The property can be booked alongside Greystead Old Church, a stunning, architect-designed conversion of an early 19th century Grade II listed former Georgian church accommodating a further 8 guests.

    A spacious, elegant sitting room with comfortable seating, wood burning stove and SMART televison viewing.

    Large entrance hallway featuring the glazed coach arch, leading to the staircase and downstairs shower room & WC.

    With quadrant shower, basin and WC, recently renovated with Burlington heritage-style suite.

    A separate dining room formed from the original Coachman's living area with door that leads to the walled garden.

  • kitchen & utility

    The large kitchen/breakfast room providing bespoke kitchen units, Aga-style electric cooker, granite worktops and oak flooring. A back door area gives onto the well-equipped utility room/drying room with washer, tumble drier, further range of kitchen units and drying rack. This space also acts as a 'bedroom' area for dogs.

    All bed linen is high quality, crisp white cotton. We have a travel cot and highchair available on request and prices all-inclusive of heating, electricity and starter pack for wood-burner.

First floor

    A spacious super-king-sized bedroom with wardrobe and bedside lighting.

    A character double bedroom with original beams and king-sized bed in the old hayloft.

  • Bedroom 3

    A delightful twin-bedded room with antique wooden beds and old beams in the Coachman's bedroom.

  • Family Bathroom

    Recently refitted, spacious upstairs bathroom features heritage-style Burlington bath with overhead shower, basin and WC.

  • Outside

    The exceptionally large, attractive and enclosed Walled Garden is ideal for children and dogs, with mature shrubs, fruit trees and lawns, and spectacular views across neighbouring fields and hills. The garden offers a very safe play area for children and dogs, complete with garden furniture and BBQ. There is ample off-road parking for 3+ cars in the Coach House drive. Recently awarded Northumberland Tourism "Stay & Gaze" status, enjoy the new star-gazing platform to view the area's famous 'Dark Skies'. Bring your own telescope or just enjoy a panoramic view of the night sky using the binoculars and star-gazing equipment provided in your cottage.

Very comfortable and well maintained with lovely views. Excellent centre for exploring- walks, Hadrian's Wall, Kielder Water & Forest etc. Owners welcoming and helpful when needed, otherwise left us to enjoy the privacy of the Coach House. We had a really lovely holiday - thank you
