Unique eighteenth-century 3-bedroomed townhouse, located on one of Hexham’s most historic streets. Set over three floors, with antique detailing and original features, beautiful handmade oak kitchen and generous living accommodation. Benefits from town centre parking permit.

The SPACE

  • first floor

    Stairs lead from the entrance to the first floor, where there is a stunning hand-built, oak kitchen with bench seating. Fully equipped with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine and washing machine. There is cosy, open-plan sitting room and dining area, with plenty of comfortable seating and a wood burner.

  • second floor

    There are three bedrooms on the second floor - a king, a double with ensuite showeroom and a twin. There is also a family bathroom with bath and shower over. All bedrooms benefit from air conditioning units.

  • Third Floor

    A further staircase leads to the third floor, where there is a games room, with full-size table football, PS4 with games, plenty of board games and books.

  • Parking

    Parking permit for a space 5 minutes' walk away. Unloading is permitted outside the property, but restricted to 10 minutes due to double-yellow lines.

  • Outside

    There is no outdoor space associated with the property, apart from a courtyard which has an outdoor seat. The marketplace, Hexham House Gardens and Sele Park are within a five-minute walk.

  • Location

    The Candlemakers is located in the heart of Hexham on Market Street, a quaint commercial street lined with independent shops. The property can be found down a flagstone-lined alleyway behind an original Edwardian gate and next door to the popular gastropub, The Heart of Northumberland. The pub also shares the outdoor alleyway for access. During the day, it is bustling, but at night, you will be surprised at how quiet it can be.
