Built in the early 1800s, Greystead Old Church and The Coach House stand on land once owned by Jacobite rebel James, 3rd Earl of Derwentwater.
These characterful properties are an ideal base for families and friends exploring the Northumberland countryside. Set in the heart of the North Tyne Valley, just yards from the North Tyne River and 4 miles from Kielder Water, they offer a peaceful setting with spectacular views in the Northumberland National Dark Sky Park.

Properties comprise a truly unique four-bedroom, three-bathroom Church and a delightful three-bedroom, two-bathroom Coach House.
The Church is a stunning conversion of a Grade II listed former Georgian church. It features a spacious sitting room with a magnificent stained glass window, a vast open-plan mezzanine kitchen/dining area, and a spiral staircase leading up to the top of the tower with fabulous countryside views. Accommodation includes three king-size bedrooms and one twin bedroom, with an ensuite shower room, an ensuite bathroom, and a family bathroom.
The Coach House offers beautifully designed holiday accommodation with a wealth of Georgian charm and many original features, including fireplaces, exposed beams, and antique furniture. It has super-king, king, and twin bedrooms, along with a family bathroom and a downstairs shower room. Set in close proximity to the Church, each with their own private parking.

Our family stayed for Christmas, it was wonderful. We had a fabulous time. There was plenty of space so no one felt on top of each other. Having two kitchens made cooking so easy with extra oven and hob space. It’s a short drive to the local town, we went for a beautiful walk on Boxing Day. We’re talking about coming back in the summer as it’s a stunning location. Can’t recommend enough.
