Bamburgh Beach northumberland: ‘One of a Kind in the World’ for 2026
In mid-February, TripAdvisor released its Travelers’ Choice Awards – World’s Best Beaches, including a new category celebrating beaches that offer something beyond sun and sand called One of a Kind.
In this new category, Bamburgh Beach in Northumberland was ranked 3rd, with the review noting:
“Just south of the Scotland-England border, Bamburgh Beach is wild, wide, and unforgettable, in part thanks to the eponymous castle that towers above it all. Time your visit to sunrise or sunset for the most striking photo ops (and a smattering of friendly local dog owners)”
