The Pele
Now if you’re looking for somewhere truly unique to enjoy a pint, (or more specifically a cool, brewed-on-site pint of ale from Allendale Brew co) you must head to the Pele Tower in the centre of the village which has been converted into a bar. There’s outdoor seating available, or you can venture up the tower to find snug seated areas to enjoy your beverage while marvelling at the architecture which surrounds you.
The Black Bull
Roaring fires, wooden beams and hearty meals, The Black Bull is a dog-friendly spacious bar and restaurant based within a traditional building which dates back to 1755. You’ll always receive a warm welcome from their lovely staff, but make sure to book ahead as tables in the restaurant are in demand.
The Angel of Corbridge
If you’re looking for a classic Sunday Roast, then we have to recommend The Angel of Corbridge, soak up the atmosphere with wood burning fires inside or head out to the pub’s beer garden to enjoy a drink or meal al fresco. If you’re not too hungry, they also provide bar snacks including our favourite deep fried stuffing! They encourage booking so if you’re thinking of visiting while staying with us head to the pub’s website here.
The Dyvels
If you’re heading to Corbridge by train, then just a few steps from the station is The Dyvels. Serving up classic comfort meals in a warm welcoming setting. The pub is also based near the Roman Wall, where you can explore the history of this small Northumberland town. Heading into spring and summer seasons, they have a wonderful beer garden and are dog friendly!
