Christmas Sights that are worth the travel
Heading out and seeing the twinkly lights is always on the Christmas to do list. Here are a couple places you may want to visit.
Sanderson Arcade, Morpeth
A bit further afield but worth the trip is the shopping centre Sanderson Arcade. Suited out with a massive sparkly red bow on the front, with the addition of a stunning tree, angel wings and wreaths, it truly is a showstopping set of lights.
Alnwick Gardens
Again, a long trip from some of our homes but definitely worth the journey. The light trail is particularly worth the visit with it even winning the gold the 2022 North East Tourism Awards for ‘Experience of The Year.’
Bamburgh Castle
A new attraction has been created in the historic town of Bamburgh. The lavish display is inspired by the Twelve days of Christmas, with lords-a-leaping, gold rings and a partridge in a pear tree. Follow the glittering trail around and take in the wonderful sights.
Beamish Forest of Light
An after dark experience that will have you full of wonderment. The once ancient woodland in Beamish will transform into a dazzling spectacle filled with different illuminations and music.
