Hexham House – Hexham, Northumberland
We had to include our very own Hexham House in the list for our favourite wedding venues! With magnificent views of Hexham Abbey, which is just a minute’s walk away, it is a truly spectacular location for your big day. The historic venue can also accommodate you and your loved ones within our seven apartments meaning you’re all together before and after the wedding, with no need to worry about transport.

NORTHSIDE FARM – CORBRIDGE, NORTHUMBERLAND
Northside Farm offers a perfectly private venue to enjoy your day with all the people you love. It’s rustic classic farm-style, makes for the perfect romantic day and on site you can spot an abundance of wildlife from the farm itself. Although the venue offers pods and a limited number of cottages to stay in on site, if you’re looking for some of those home comforts, our Twenty Princes Street Cottage in Corbridge is less than a 20 minute drive away.

BRINKBURN – BRINKBURN PRIORY, NORTHUMBERLAND
Such a beautiful space and absolutely ideal for those wanting to go all out with their celebrations. Brinkburn offers a stunning 12th century manor house and priory, along with a tipi and renovated stable block. The venue offers three different wedding packages and comfortably accommodates larger guest lists thanks to its on-site catering and team of professionals equipped to help you handle anything the big day may throw at you.

LE PETIT CHATEAU – OTTERBURN, NORTHUMBERLAND
Based in Otterburn, Le Petit Chateau is an Instagrammer’s paradise. The elegant venue features an incredible French-inspired chapel and a breath-taking outdoor area, complete with a fountain and landscaped gardens for guests to explore. Our Steading properties are only a 13 minute drive away from the venue and are the perfect base to get ready before heading out to party the night away.

HEALEY BARN – CORBRIDGE, NORTHUMBERLAND
If you’re looking for rustic luxury without being miles away from civilisation, then Healey Barn is the perfect option for you. The 18th century stone barn, which is set around an incredible courtyard, is surrounded by a wide open landscape and is a stunning option for the Summer months. The location can serve up to 200 guests and is just 20 minutes away from our beautiful Shellbraes Farmhouse property.

DOXFORD BARNS – ALNWICK, NORTHUMBERLAND
Doxford Barns is an award-winning venue in the centre of 550-acres of rolling green fields. For those who have privacy as a priority, this is an excellent option as the venue is completely exclusive to the couple and its guests during the wedding. In addition to this, the idyllic barn setting with its use of clever lighting and candles only adds to the romance further, making this one of the region’s most popular venues.

THE COMB – KIELDER WATER, NORTHUMBERLAND
If you’re looking for a more ‘do-it-yourself’ option with full control over your day, then The Comb and its relaxed offering makes for the perfect space. With a large converted farmhouse, barn space and the option to get married outside across the property, you can exchange your vows with the amazing backdrop of the Northumberland countryside. The venue is also only a 20 minute drive from our comfortable Charlton homes.

THE PAVILION – ALNWICK, NORTHUMBERLAND
Finally, the absolute magnificent Pavilion within Alnwick Gardens. This really is a stand-out venue complete with dazzling glass walls that give you a full view of the gardens while you enjoy the fun with your guests.
