When staying with us during the festive period, we make sure all of our properties are decked out with Christmas trees to make sure you’re truly feeling in the spirit of the season. Not far from Roses Bower or Shellbraes Farmhouse and Studio, Matfen Hall will be hosting an ice rink across December. Enjoy magical evening skating along with friends, or achieve the ultimate Christmas date goals.
Hexham Abbey will be the location of Hexham’s Christmas Market which is only a 2 minute walk away from the Hexham House Apartments. Explore the many stands filled with delicious food, gift items and sweet treats.
Can you spot all the Christmas song lyrics in shop windows around Hexham? Take part in this musical trail while exploring the town. Take part in this festive activity while staying in Seal Cottage, perfect way to get those steps in as well!
Explore the wonderful Kielder Winter Wonderland, with a number of festive treats for you and the whole family to enjoy. It has all the aspects of Christmas you love to see including Santa’s workshop, reindeers and meeting the big man himself! This will be perfect if you are staying in The Byres, The Steadings or Charlton Gate.
Alnwick Garden put together a truly spectacular Winter Light Trail that will make for the perfect Christmas day out for those staying with us. Alnwick is a bit of a drive from our properties but is really worth the travel. You have to visit the Christmas town of Lilidorei before heading home, we insist!
Explore the city, catch up on some shopping and enjoy the Christmas market. Filled with lots of lovely local traders you can experience some great Newcaste food including Pablo Eggsaboa, the best breakfast meal around!
