The eagle-eyed amongst you may have noticed a few new properties sneaking onto our website over the last few weeks, so we thought we’d do a round-up of the stunning new holiday homes which are joining our Wooden Star Cottages family. Fieldhead
An absolute unique stay and completely off the grid, Fieldhead is based in the heart of the Northumberland Dark Sky Park and showcases the rural Northumberland countryside at its best. It sleeps two, so ideal for you and your partner or two friends looking to escape the daily grind. One well behaved pooch is also welcome. The home is fitted with all the amenities you could need as well as access to a private wild swimming lake close by.

The Bankhouse Apartment
This stylish Bankhouse Apartment sleeps four and is based in the Northumberland town of Bellingham. The open plan apartment is classically furnished and has great untimed street parking that is available outside the apartment courtyard, with several newly installed EV charges opposite the property. If you’re visiting during the Summer, you’ll also be able to enjoy the courtyard that is shared with our next new property Bankhouse Mews.

The Bankhouse Mews
Sister property to our Bankhouse Apartment is the Bankhouse Mews. Again, it sleeps four and can be booked alongside the Bankhouse Apartment for a party of eight. This setting will provide you with the perfect base for exploring, with the Hareshaw Iron Works hiking trail right on your doorstep. Or, if you’re looking to kick-back and relax, the First and Last Brewery is only a short walk away where you can enjoy a tasting tour and sample their locally made beers.

Bed at the Dene
This newly renovated home is based in the centre of the small Northumberland town Allendale. It can accommodate up to four guests and has all the modern amenities you could need while you’re away including a TV that provides digital channels and catch up viewing. If you’ve been out exploring the local walking routes that are just outside your door, you can come back and cosy up by the inglenook fireplace with a wood burning stove.

Farriers Cottage is a beautiful cottage based in Hexham. Farriers Cottage is a stunning property with a scandi, modern design. The home has three bedrooms and is suitable for up to six guests.
