Our guests come from far and wide every year to enjoy the tranquillity, history and attractions within our beautiful Northumberland countryside. However, did you know that the majority of our properties and the points of interest surrounding them, can be accessed by public transport?

With more reliable train and bus services available than ever before, here’s a quick breakdown so you can leave the car at home and enjoy a traffic-free break with us.

Trains to Hexham 

If you’re travelling from outside of the North East region, then Newcastle Central Station will be your first port of call before switching to one of our Northumberland routes.

Northern Rail’s regular service stops at Hexham every 20 minutes, and from Newcastle it takes approximately 30-40 minutes on the train.

• Seal Cottage – 8 minute walk

If you’re visiting one of our properties which are slightly further afield, taxis are regularly available from Hexham Train Station, or if you want to call one in advance, our recommended firm is Ecocabs https://hexham.ecocabs.com

Trains to Corbridge

Similar to that of Hexham, Corbridge has a train station and is on the Northern Rail service route from Newcastle Central Station. These services run regularly and are only a 30 minute journey away.

• Twenty Princes Street – 14 minute walk away (note: the walk is uphill to reach Corbridge from the station)
• Shellbraes Farmhouse – 10 minute taxi journey
• Shellbraes Studio – 10 minute taxi journey
